Our Houses Closed
Yeah! The biggest stress of the home buying process is over! Yesterday, we signed the papers for our new house, and the sale on our condo closed as well. When we left California, we were in the process of buying our house in Connecticut without even an offer on the condo. It was a total leap of faith that God would provide and he did. A week after we arrived here, we got an offer on the condo. It was an offer that made us a little nervous because there wasn't alot to back it up, but it was an offer and we took it and prayed that we would actually close. Well, not only did it close, they managed to close it less than 30 days so that it could close before we bought our new house.
We were thrilled to go to our new house after we had dinner last night and actually have keys and be able to really imagine our own things in it. The previous owners were finishing up the cleaning when we arrived (the closing got moved up a day because of Good Friday, so the movers were getting ready to take their stuff away when we arrived), and we were all able to pray together before they started on their journey to Indiana.
They are a very nice couple who even left us some of their travel books about Connecticut, their pool stuff and a few other things we were happy to have. So, we are moving our stuff from the apartment to the house and we are so happy!
